National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)

KBA prepares Environmental Assessments (EAs), Environmental Impact Statements (EISs) and Categorical Exclusion (CE) documentation for projects receiving federal funding. Reports are consistent with procedures outlined in the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). NEPA services also include site screening for a variety of cultural, environmental, and socio-economic issues.

Projects include:

• Environmental Assessments for projects such as utility corridors and transportation related construction.

• Environmental Impact Statements for larger, more complex projects.
  Categorical Exclusions for qualifying project activities.

• Site screening for floodplains, jurisdictional waters (wetlands and streams), threatened and endangered species and their habitat, cultural and archaeological resources, socio-economic issues, and other concerns relevant to NEPA.

• SWPPP and storm water sampling at road construction projects
