KBA Provides Stormwater Support for an Extension of the Dallas North Tollway in Frisco, Texas

April 2005 - May 2008.

KBA Stormwater Specialists provided an updated comprehensive Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and weekly stormwater inspections during construction of an extension of the Dallas North Tollway (DNT) in Frisco, Texas to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Permit for Storm Water Discharges from Construction Activities.  The site extended 5 miles between Lebanon Road and Eldorado Parkway in Frisco, Texas and was approximately 75 acres in size.

KBA inspectors performed inspections of disturbed areas of the construction site, discharge locations, areas used for storage of materials, and structural controls for evidence of, or potential for, pollutants entering the drainage system.  Other weekly inspection procedures included examination of sediment and erosion control measures to ensure they were operating correctly as well as inspecting locations where vehicles entered or exited the site for offsite sediment tracking.  Inspection Reports were completed during each inspection and provided to the client within 24 hours of the inspection.  The inspection reports included the necessary attachments or other descriptions needed to facilitate corrective action by the client.
