Streets of Frisco Development

September 12, 2008 – The Fort Worth District of the Corps of Engineers issued a Section 404 Individual Permit for the planned Streets at Frisco development in Frisco, Texas.  KBA performed the delineation, mitigation design, and permit application for the project.  The project is an approximately 125-acre residential, retail, and commercial development that requires realignment of Parvin Branch and several ephemeral streams.  KBA worked with the developer, Alberta Development, and the civil engineers, Winkelmann & Associates, to design a rerouted stream with adjacent wetlands and riparian area to provide stormwater storage as well as result in a net ecological gain and visual amenity for the project.  A pedestrian bridge will cross the stream and trails will run along the banks.  The stream and adjacent natural areas will be a focal point of the development and will be monitored to ensure viability.
